This Department provides information on all aspects of The Netherlands (particular culture and the arts), handles matters related to the Indian and Netherlands media, gives information on (higher) education and opportunities to study in The Netherlands (e.g. availability of Fellowships through the Netherlands Fellowship Programme of the Netherlands Organisation for Higher Education (NUFFFIC). It is also responsible for the maintenance of Cultural Heritage (historical monuments, archives, artefacts, mostly dating from the time of the Dutch East India Company, the “Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie” - VOC).
